Inexpensive Microphones for Your Podcast

9:15 AM
I purchased mine through Amazon. There are several mics similar to this one on Amazon to chose from. The one I purchased has a usb connection and it doesn't require downloading any software to my macbook. It was completely "plug and play," and the best part is - the pop filters filter out background noise and make my voice more clear. This will be great for the interviews I have coming up. Here's the one I purchased:

Like it or not, MLM isn't going anywhere

10:53 PM
Network marketing has been around for a VERY long time. Unfortunately, with the advent of the internet, how it's done needs to be updated.

And there ARE some pioneers out there who are forging new territory, like Steve Larsen with his "MLM Hacks."

It's a revolutionary concept to me...and I'm glad to see there are finally people out there who are DOING IT.

Because Sales Funnels are for selling...and network marketers are supposed to sell. It makes SO much sense to be selling with funnels.

Because even a CRAPPY funnel sells stuff like crazy.

How I found the secret to reverse my embarrassing hair loss

8:52 PM
From July 2017 to April 2018. I can't believe what's happened to my hair.
So...I was losing my hair.

And I felt not only depressed, but frumpy.

That was upsetting, because my hair was my crowning glory.

It had previously been an effortless lovely thing...and it had been long.

I cut it off, because it had become too difficult to care for, and because it had thinned so much on the top, I thought wearing a "bob" would be more flattering.

And there are a lot of reasons for that hair loss, as it turns out...

Which I didn't know at the time.

A lot of my friends didn't really believe me when I was saying I had been losing my hair.

I didn't have an illness...

I hadn't had any surgeries....

My hair looked just fine, the last they knew....

But I haven't seen a lot of them for about 10 years or more.

And a lot has happened in that time.

What was happening in my life was so heart-wrenching that I had kind of withdrawn into my personal hell.

I had a lot of soul ripping stress over a very long period of time, that wore away at me.

As my husband had taken ill and was diagnosed with dementia, and I was watching him slip away right before my eyes until he passed away in December, 2015....

I was numbed by the pain of it.

There is no way I can describe what that was like.

During that time he was slipping away and I was helpless to stop it- my mother broke her leg, then had a knee replacement.

And she was rehabbed at a local nursing home.

I had to wash her clothing, and I was running back and forth seeing her, and my husband.

Then Mom came out of the nursing home on 22 medications.

I set up a spreadsheet to manage those, but it was exhausting.

She was prescribed two of those oxy medications by her orthopaedic surgeon for the first week or so, and every time I gave her those meds, she would nod out in the chair.

I was convinced I was killing her...

Stress, as it turns out, can precipitate hair loss.

And there is about a 3-month delay between the stressor and the hair loss.

And stress can come in many forms.

No wonder it's hard to figure out what's happening, when there's a lag between the stressor event and the actual hair loss!

But I had resigned myself to just losing my hair.

I felt like there was really no answer to it.

That it was my age.

That a lot of women as they get older, lose their hair.

I didn't want to take drugs like Nioxin - (a blood pressure medicine) - or Monoxodil - which you have to keep taking or the hair will fall out again-and...

I started looking through wig catalogs, thinking - if I want to look my very best, maybe that's my only option at this point.

I've seen Cancer patients where wigs that look pretty nice...

And then...a lady I know on facebook posted a video, talking about how she was growing her hair back and was HEALING her damaged bangs with a natural-based product I'd never heard of before.

That got my attention!

WHAT!??!

You mean there is something out there that isn't dangerous?

That isn't terribly expensive?

That can reverse this horrifying hair loss?

That WORKS?

You mean I don't have to get a wig?

Yes, that's exactly what it meant.

So I signed up, got the biggest discount I could, and went 'all in.'

And the rest is history....now I have longer, thicker, shinier, healthier hair, and my sister has told me that my hair looks like it did when we were kids!

I still have a lot of new hair growth coming in.

But the exciting part is...it also works for men and children.

And if you have scalp issues, like my sister did her whole life (she has eczema) - this stuff can dramatically clear that up for you, too.

What really is interesting to me is that there are 3rd party clinical studies that prove that this stuff does what they claim it does. 3rd party-meaning these aren't studies done WITHIN the company that makes the stuff. Princeton University Trichology Department. (Trichology is the branch of dermatology that deals with the scientific study of the health of hair and scalp.)

This company also has a whole Scientific Board of doctors in different areas of specialty, and the product formulator is the scientist who developed Coppertone Kids Colorblock & Coppertone Bug & Sun. In fact, he was the first scientist/formulator to combine sunscreen & insect repellent in the USA market. He was awarded patents for both developments. This guy holds patents for a number of innovative product formulations for various companies.

Impressive!

The anti-aging hair care company just turned 4-years-old and still hardly anyone knows about it. But it is growing really fast, because these are the only hair care products that penetrate the hair shaft, right down to its core.

AND, the only hair care products that deep clean and exfoliate the scalp to make way for new growth.

Other products on the market only lay on top of the hair shaft and mask the damage. (And lay on top of the scalp and get imbedded in the follicles. This can cause a huge problem with hair growth and actually promote hair loss!)

I never knew that.

And-I didn't know this; even professional salon products contain wax & silicone and other things that lay on top of the hair and clog the hair follicles. It may feel good, but it's not actually your hair that feels good..

So when you use heat tools, you are literally LAMINATING that stuff onto your hair!

This stuff gently removes the gunky stuff that's coating the hair and HEALS the hair.

There is one product that actually HEALS split ends! You can see it happening under the microscope!

So...if you want to figure out which of these what I call miracle products would be good for your hair issues, take this hair quiz.

You won't regret it.

10x Secrets - How the #1 Top Paid Speaker Made $3 million in 90 minutes

6:06 PM
And the script he uses day in, day out, to sell to the masses. It's in 10x Secrets.

As Russell Brunson points out, selling from the stage-selling to the masses-is a dead skill. But once he saw it happen, he knew he had to learn how to do it. He said in person, 1:1, he's shy and awkward...but in front of a huge groups of people...he has honed his presentation skills and what he calls the "stack" to make an irresistible offer. And he positions it so that at the end, people have no choice but to buy. People stopped making these presentations to amphitheatres full of people, who knows why. I remember when people were doing presentations from the stage, back when I was working for Corporate America. There would be a presenter, and as he proceeded through his schpiel, people were so motivated that they would start jumping up like popcorn out of their seats, running to the back of the room to buy the latest hot thing.

But over time, Russell Brunson mastered this skill, and spoke at Grant Cardone's 10x Growth Conference event, with 9,000 sales people and entrepreneurs in the audience.

Russell Brunson's 10x Secrets course takes you through the thought processes in the 10x presentation that has sold millions for many different people, no matter what business they're in.

These stories should be hilarious, considering the first one I heard was amazing-he built a funnel selling instructions for how to put together a potato gun out of every day items that you could get at the hardware store, like PVC pipe. Then he came up with an idea for an upsell--he sold a kit on top of that, for about $150. I think he had several different offers in that funnel. Anyway, this Telethon is going to be on October 30. And I'm "all in!" How about you?

3 Ways To grow your MLM Business On Autopilot Without Bugging Friends & Family

Rich Dad Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!
One of the most frustrating things is growing the business and attracting customers. CONSISTENTLY. But one of the most fantastic things about the internet, is there are people out there who are LOOKING for WHAT YOU HAVE. So how do you help them find you?

Sales Funnels.

I am a Click Funnels user, and fanatic and maniac-so I am biased about what funnel building software to use. Russell Brunson is an expert at selling stuff. I mean-he started out as a kid, getting junk mail on purpose, and then developed his first funnel by selling instructions for a potato gun. And he had a few upsell offers to go with it.

The whole concept behind click funnels is mind-blowing. Imagine a large corporation with an ad budget. Compare that to a small business with no ad budget. Click Funnels has given people with barely any money at all-the tools to even the playing field. Because the one who spends the most money acquiring a customer wins. But what if that money to acquire customers didn't come out of your pocket?

An example of a recruiting funnel.
You can get started with no products, barely knowing what you're doing-and quickly develop some product offerings on the front end, so that you can spend more on acquiring customers and business builders than the big dogs with an ad budget. This is going to revolutionize sales as we know it. (Can you tell I'm excited?!!!?) The components in a funnel include

  • the landing page
  • an email autoresponder system so you can keep in touch & cultivate a relationship
  • some offers (like a free report to gift them for giving you their email, and some upsells like books or mini trainings or a webinar masterclass), and
  • perhaps even a membership/training area.
  • You can offer a webinar as a part of your funnel.
  • You can offer any number of products along the way.

What a funnel does is bring people to you who are looking. As they go through your funnel, your funnel works at qualifying or disqualifying them. You give them a free report, or something else of value, and as they move along in your funnel, you offer them things to buy, like a training, a book of valuable information that solve some of their problems. This process gives you the ability to make money to reinvest in ads to grow your business that doesn't come out of your pocket. Your leads pay you, whether they join you or not.

A guy who has had in sane success with this is Steve Larsen (and the reason I love him is because he's DOING IT and he also TEACHES IT in Secret MLM Hacks and on his Sales Funnel Radio podcast), but there are many others that use Sales Funnels. I'm still working on my funnel as I write this.

Youtube

Youtube is owned by google, and because of that, google piles google love on youtube videos and helps you get your video content out there and seen. The beauty of youtube videos is that people searching for what you have will find you. You can build a tremendous fan base on youtube, and build your email list, too.

  • Provide valuable content
  • Share your experiences
  • Answer questions
  • Solve Problems
  • Do tutorials

When you have a list, you have a pot o' gold. When people follow you, and are interested in what you have, you can pitch them and sell them things, and they will thank you for it.

  • Tell them what you're going to teach them.
  • Teach them.
  • Give them a call to action at the end. Subscribe. If this content is valuable to you, like it, share it.

Youtube is great because people will find the content, no matter how old it is. As opposed to facebook lives (as an example), which lose their 'freshness.'

Here are some resources on building an audience on youtube

Facebook

People are having wild success with growing their network marketing businesses on facebook. But there is an art to it, so if, like me, you are struggling with it, find someone to teach you how to be more effective with it.

Building a following is an art, and there are gurus who teach how to do it. Building a following on facebook isn't 'automated,' although you can automate parts of it, such as using facebook messenger chatbots.

This is where I struggled for a while; I was sharing about my MLM products, and missing sharing about me. Regardless, people should be motivated to join ME. And why? Why should people join me? I need to differentiate myself from other people who are selling the same thing. I need to show up as a leader, someone truly interested in helping people with what I have to offer. When people recognize you as a thought leader, as someone who shares value, who truly cares about people and solving their problems, people will latch onto you.

And so....having a business page is all well and good, but what you really should be doing is creating a facebook fan page. And share from there. You don't even need to be sharing about your products and opportunity. You should be sharing valuable content that people can't wait to consume. I'm still working on mastering this.

Be strategic about what you put on your personal profile.

Tyson Zahner teaches a number of strategies involving social media. He's also a photographer. So he's had a successful brick and mortar business for a number of years, but he also sees the value in building residual income with network marketing.

Ray Higdon (author of Freakishly Effective Social Media for Network Marketing: How to Stop Wasting Your Time on Things That Don't Work and Start Doing What Does! and Go for No! for Network Marketing) teaches how to grow you Network Marketing business on Facebook. He has a closed facebook group called Rank Makers (which you pay monthly to be a part of) and a blog. He does facebook lives every day in the Rank Makers group, regardless as to where he is or what he's doing. He provides incredible content, offers free reports and audios with helpful tips and information. Interestingly, he also uses a funnel to find people who are interested in learning how to be successful in network marketing. He was a top earner in his MLM and sold it to become a trainer. He teaches various network marketers in a wide variety of companies how to succeed on facebook, what to say, how to say it. His wife is a facebook expert also teaches in Rank Makers.

Speaking of books, I have to suggest this one. Go Pro: 7 Steps to Becoming a Network Marketing Professional Eric Worre is another amazing trainer and a lot of his trainings are free, in video form, and available on Facebook.

Conclusion

Generally, you need to create content and put it out to the world. Find what you're naturally best at, and do that. You don't have to be good at everything. Pick one, master that, and then pick another. I didn't even touch on blogging, or Instagram or Pinterest or Chatbots. All of these methods will help to attract interested hungry people to you, rather than have you chasing them. You will be top of mind as long as you're a giver and freely sharing what you've learned and what works for you. "Giving is the new selling."

Afterthoughts

I have so much more to say, but I've gotta get goin,' so TTYL. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them in the comments section or go to the 'contact me' page in the menu at the top.

So here are the things on the schedule for today...

1:04 PM
I just watched a webinar on "manychat" by "The Goal Digger Girl." Manychat is a platform for using in facebook messenger. The open rates on manychat messages are in sane. Manychat - or Chatfuel - are great platforms for marketers who want to keep in touch with their audience. You can do so many things in it.

The expert on Manychat is Nico Moreno. And his bots are relentless in their pursuit of the sale, to the point where I've seen people COMPLAIN ABOUT IT. I'm still figuring out what I want my bots to do, as I figure out my "voice" and what messaging I want to convey. It all feels kind of fluid, like I'm in a big ocean and being moved around by the currents. Part of this might be the 'shiny object syndrome."

I have an experimental page called "FB Messenger Bot Builder." Here is the link for my bot on that page.

Other things I need to do today are:

Week 2, Lesson 2, in the One Funnel Away Challenge. The assignment for today is - creating an "Epiphany Bridge." There are videos to watch and a handout to fill out.

***

I was catching up with Rachel Miller yesterday - she's "the Moolah Marketer" on facebook. I had to click off a webinar replay because I had to get going. Today I need to work for a few hours before I pick up the dog...so I have to squeeze things in, when I get the time, or when I can make the time.

***

I also was trying to catch up with messaging from the youtube/video expert, Marley Baird, from Marley Baird Media. She is a genius with video, and how to get your message out there using youtube. Here's her youtube channel, too. Check it out.

***

I added a theme and a logo to this blog, and will be tweaking it as time allows.

I will add more links later, gotta go now, 'bye.
